Pit Bull Appreciation Day DC 2017

Pit Bull Appreciation Day (PBAD) is a day-long event where we celebrate, pamper, and educate about our favorite pit bull type dogs.

There will be food trucks, music, vendors, and activities for everyone. Last year, we hosted over 300 attendees and 35+ vendors, rescues, and advocacy organizations.

PBAD is a FREE community event and open to the public. All dogs must be properly leashed (no retractable leashes or leashes over 6 feet long.)

Every year at Pit Bull Appreciation Day DC we are proud to offer:

  Guest Speakers

  Rescue Adoptions

  Food Trucks

  Kid's Activities

Free Microchipping for pit bull type dogs

Ambassador Pit Bull Alliance is dedicated to ending discrimination through education and the responsible rehoming of pit bull type dogs in the DC Metropolitan Area. Through education and outreach, we bring together members of the community, local rescues, nonprofits and shelters to further our common mission and goals.  We dream of safe, humane communities and restoring pit bulls to their former position of esteem in the hearts and minds of people everywhere.

S&D K9 Rehabilitation is a 501c3 non-profit. Our mission is to rehabilitate & rescue dogs and educate fosters, shelter volunteers and owners. We support canine foster parents, provide kennel enrichment and low cost training and free training for rescue & therapy dogs.

Rescue Well provides support to pet owners, rescue organizations, and shelters in the Washington/Baltimore region. Our goal is to improve the lives of the pets and the families we serve. We provide re-homing assistance, supplies, resources, and referrals to other organizations in times of crisis.
